The amazing girls at Cosmopolitan Pregnancy Magazine asked Oobi to donate some product for children's orphanages in Romania and Turkey. We were honoured to be asked to help out and were proud to be a part of their charity drive.

Pregnancy & Birth - April
Meet Rebekah (Bek),
Bek is our amazing Production Manager and she's the one who treks around India with me and who has shown us the ropes in that amazing country. She's also helped polish off a few G&Ts on balmy Indian evenings and dressed up Bollywood-style in jeweled shoes and harem pants.
Bek is into disco music and leopard-print shoes. A girl after my own heart!!!
Bek and the skills, enthusiasm and talent she brings to Oobi is invaluable. Some of you may have met her at various sales and trade shows too. We call her "Jessica Rabbit" for obvious reasons (you'll know which big Oobi we mean).
1/ What is your all-time favourite Oobi piece and why? My all time Favourite Oobi item are the Bloomers, what girl does not like a pair of frilly knickers... or maybe the denim appliqué dress from this current winter, it takes me back to my childhood ... or maybe the space hopper wweeeeee!!!.... Or the Lulu, I love to dance .... do I have to choose one?
2/ What’s your favourite part of the Oobi day or week or year? My favourite day is when ever new samples arrive, it is so exciting to see all the new things. It is like Christmas morning over and over and over again.
3/ What's your funniest Oobi moment? My funniest Oobi moments is when some new exciting sample arrives in the warehouse, and at some stage someone will secretly try it on usually resulting in getting stuck or ripping it and then having to explain why they were trying to get their head in a child’s size 6 dress. We all do it.

Bek (our production manager - get to know her tomorrow in "Meet the Big Oobis") and I went to India recently for our new handmade range.
We absolutely adore going to India - the colours and cottons and silks are amazing!!! The people are so lovely and it's so vibrant. Plus the food... yum.
It's pretty hard work when we go (late nights, early mornings, lots of travel) but we try and add some adventures too.
Bek's an amazing photographer and here are some pics she took from our last trip (she's also camera-shy!).
A bridegroom on his way to his wedding, the procession stopped right outside our hotel. Everyone was dancing and singing and it was so opulent!
